FREE BEER – ONE YEAR: Celebrate The Tasting Room’s First Anniversary with Award-Winning Ardmore Home-Brewer’s Biere de Garde

November 21, 2014

free_beer_one_year_anniversaryBy now, Ardmore has gained a reputation as a beer destination thanks to the memorable brews of the expanding Tired Hands and the soon-to-open Iron Hill Brewery.

What few people know is that there’s also a world-class home brewer who lives in Ardmore, and we’re lucky to have signed him up as the featured attraction for The Tasting Room’s 1st anniversary celebration next week.

We’ll be pouring free glasses of beer for each customer (over the age of 21) who eats in between the hours of 12 and 8pm on Monday, Nov. 24 at The Tasting Room. Tyler Flynn will provide one of his finest brews, a French farmhouse ale commonly known as Biere de Garde.

In only about five years of brewing, Flynn is already a rising star among home brewers, winning the Philly Beer Week Extreme Homebrew Challenge in 2012 and is a regular gold medal winner in regional competitions. Flynn has previously been invited to brew his Pumpkin Old Ale at the
highly regarded Dogfish Head Brewery in Delaware.

When he’s not brewing, Flynn is a history professor at nearby Eastern University.

The beer will be flowing (one for each customer) for dine-in customers only from 12noon-8 p.m. on Monday. Let’s toast together to our favorite tastes, and the very best Ardmore has to offer.
