O’Gara has brought together some of the Main Line’s finest and freshest names, including The Tasting Room, Barbacoa and A la Maisson for her inaugural Table Tours event, a movable feast featuring Ardmore’s finest dining options. It works like this: Start with a kickoff champagne toast and head to Barbacoa on Rittenhouse Ave. for the first course. After about 45 minutes, it’s on to the main course at The Tasting Room. Then things wrap up an hour later at A la Maisson with dessert.
O’Gara would like to take the concept to other downtowns in the region, but chose Ardmore because of its walkability and burgeoning dining scene.
“We have great restaurants that are so involved with the community, and it’s such a nice little walkable area,” O’Gara told the Main Line Times last month.
Tickets, which cost $75 and include a beverage (some alcoholic) at each stop plus gratuity, are going fast and capped at 20. The goal is an intimate evening during which diners can get to know the restaurants and the chefs/owners who make it all happen.
